why powder room
exists
Powder Room was born from a need for a more approachable, fun, and genuine space in the beauty industry. I created Powder Room because so many people feel like they should know how to do their makeup, but no one ever actually taught them. Social media makes it worse - everywhere you turn, it’s just ads and product pushing. But what if beauty wasn’t about trends or shopping? What if it was just about feeling good?
Despite the anxieties surrounding makeup, there’s something universally joyful about getting ready with friends. It’s a bonding ritual, a moment of connection, and most importantly - it’s fun. But as we get older, those moments become fewer and farther between. Powder Room brings that energy back!

MEET JENNA
Jenna took the unconventional path from MBA to MUA — starting her career in finance and tech before following her true passion: beauty. Born and raised in NYC, she’s been doing makeup since she was ten years old, and hasn’t stopped since.
As a professional makeup artist, Jenna has worked from fashion week to red carpet events to brand shoots, but her favorite work happens in more personal settings — teaching everyday people how to use makeup in a way that feels fun, freeing, and completely their own.
Jenna created Powder Room to reimagine the beauty experience: less intimidating, more social; less about “fixing” and more about self-expression. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to the individual — because makeup isn’t about changing who you are, it’s about celebrating every version of you.
